A few snapshots from the 14th and 15th ~

Lincoln, trying to shake his pretty-boy image by sporting a fierce faux-hawk (courtesy of Mikayla):

The girls playing tea party on the back deck – they love practicing pouring oh-so-carefully:

Pedicure time!

We had a really fun Little Bear playdate with the Phillips Crew on Thursday!

Olivia showing off the scary mask:

Amanda and I wanted to make sure and take some pictures of Judd and Lincoln together so we can look back and enjoy seeing how they sized up next to each other at different periods.  Judd certainly has the advantage right now:

But Lincoln’s not afraid to fight dirty and punch Judd in the ear if need be:

Buddies:

Scarlett would not cooperate and join in the fray here, but I just LOVE this picture:

Sissy in her Supergirl costume (which she refuses to take off until we leave), Olivia all flushed from playing so hard, Judd trying to escape despite his sister’s death grip, and Lincoln looking back up at Judd like, “Dude, you’re the bigger one here, can’t you DO something about this??”

Later that afternoon, Aunt Kari stopped by to visit and was roped into playing tea party with Scarlett :)

Lastly, a couple pictures of Mikayla giving Lincoln a bath – he adores bath time!

“Can you make sure to scrub my neck folds for me?  Thanks.”

On Tuesday we made the trek up to Dacula (just outside of Lawrenceville, GA, about an hour away) so that Grammie could pick up her car from the repair shop up there.  While we were at it, we thought it would be fun to stop in and visit Aunt Kari at the dentist office she and her husband own. Jim took the day off work on Monday, which was so fun and unexpected.  After much discussion and a few phone calls, arrangements were made and we had the all clear to head over and go swimming at Aunt Kari’s.  Since we were going to be out that way, we decided to check out some free kittens per Kari’s recommendation – she had heard about Pollo (who went on “big adventure”, i.e. did not return from one of his trek’s outdoors… and while I like telling myself that someone probably took him in, I can’t help but find myself glancing suspiciously at the ENORMOUS hawks in the area to see if any suddenly look 22 pounds heavier) and thought of us when she saw a flier on the door of her local Quizno’s. This past week was very packed with activities for us, but I ended up with only a handful of pictures!  In an effort to bring the blog current, I’m just going to run through some of what we did and make a mental note to take more pictures this week  :)

Monday morning, the girls and I headed out to IHOP for a brunch with our playgroup.  It wasn’t a large turnout, but we had such a fun time with Kristen, Colton, Mita and Maddie, not to mention the girls favorite thing – pancakes and ham!  Read the rest of this entry »

Because I am still working to get a feel for our new camera, a good chunk of my shots from Monday came out blurry – user error for sure, but it’s still a bummer!  We had an “eat and play” playgroup get together at McDonald’s, and the girls enjoyed themselves even though they had been up since the crack of dawn and were practically ready for naptime before we even left (or maybe that was just me??).  Victoria spent most of her non-eating time using any available person or object to practice her standing skills, while Scarlett avoided all pleas from Carter and Sydney to join them in the play structure and hovered near the small slides.
