Amanda and I wanted to make sure and take some pictures of Judd and Lincoln together so we can look back and enjoy seeing how they sized up next to each other at different periods.  Judd certainly has the advantage right now:

Incorporating time on the deck during warm summer mornings was something that was started with Scarlett last year… this year we have the addition of sand, water, and Victoria too   It’s become a nice routine whenever the weather is cooperating to head outside for some playtime when we aren’t in a rush to head out. The weather has finally turned officially gorgeous for the season!  Having only been down in the Atlanta area for right at four years, I can’t definitively say yet whether my favorite season is fall or spring, but in terms of being able to play on the deck spring is the winner hands-down.  I love being able to leave our sliding glass door open and let in fresh air and allow the girls come and go while I’m in the kitchen.  Read the rest of this entry »

This morning the girls both woke up in especially happy moods – Scarlett was already asking “Go bye-bye see Livvy?!” before I could pour myself a cup of coffee.  We were having a much cherished one-on-one playdate at my friend Amanda’s house, and Scarlett just couldn’t wait to get on the road!  You might think such excitement would spur her to action and get her moving quickly to accomplish all of the things necessary to leave the house, but instead it was as though she couldn’t concentrate much and needed to be reminded several times to finish whatever she had started.  Read the rest of this entry »

This morning I knew we needed to leave the house no later than 10:45 a.m., so right after breakfast it was time for a bath.  Grammie has always been the one to helm bath time since she arrived last year, and things have moved from just Scarlett in the kitchen sink to both girls in the full-sized bathtub.  They absolutely adore bath time – Scarlett is already half-naked before you can finish asking the “Would you like to take a bath?” question, and Victoria starts flopping around excitedly like a fish out of water, anxious to get in and play!
