Monday was pretty uneventful, and aside from a trip to the gym in the morning with the girls, we mostly stayed home. Scarlett discovered a random pacifier buried in the depths of one of the toy baskets and decided she was going to pretend to be a “diaper baby”

Thursday was Collin’s first day back with us in a week, as he and his parents had been in Orlando for the past 5 days or so. Both girls were beyond excited to see him! Victoria was already down for her morning nap and after waiting for a while I decided to see if Grammie would be willing to hang out with our sleeping beauty while I went ahead and took Scarlett and Collin to the park (she was). I had invited Erica and Elizabeth to join us and they did… it was such a gorgeous day – plenty hot, but breezy and in the shade the temperature was extremely comfortable. Our playgroup had a get together scheduled for Friday at one of our favorite places – Little Bear Indoor Playground. We hadn’t been there in several weeks since our discovery of DACKids a couple of months ago, and that coupled with the beautiful park weather just hadn’t made visiting LB a priority. Only Loran and Mita (plus their respective kids) and ourselves showed for the playgroup outing, but we had SUCH a fun time!! Read the rest of this entry »
Jim had to work from home Saturday evening until the wee hours of Sunday morning, and was feeling quite burnt out from his hectic and long work week. He decided to sleep in and get some rest and then spend some time with his girls. Our playgroup had been on hiatus for a week or so, but Wednesday morning was the highly anticipated playdate at Amanda and Olivia’s house. Amanda had planned a water themed event, and she did not disappoint! There were inflatable pools, a slip-n-slide, a little jump castle and more. We were also the recipients of a super cute bathing suit that wasn’t a good fit for Olivia (the one Scarlett is wearing in all of the pictures below), and as soon as I had them both changed and slathered in sunscreen, they were OFF! Post church and afternoon naps, Jim and I did our now-usual routine of Toys R Us with the girls on Sunday afternoon.
